CONSISTENCY — The most important feature of a lubricant is its consistency. If it’s too thin (think saliva) it isn’t comfortable for very long. If it’s too viscous, it dulls sensation and ruins the experience. More than any lubricant I’ve ever used, Spunk Lube Pure Silicone strikes the perfect balance between comfort and sensation.
It’s just viscous enough to make anal and rigorous masturbation comfortable. Yet, it’s still so light and slick that I could feel the ridges in my fingers as they went up and down my shaft. It also helped that Spunk Silicone is really good at transferring body heat. It makes each experience feel a little more warm and sensual.
BODY SAFE — As a dude, I have the luxury of masturbating with a variety of lubricants, without concern for physiological repercussions, but my girlfriend does not. She is very careful to only use certain lubricants that will not upset her vaginal environment, but she had no problem with Spunk Lube Pure Silicone because it’s made out of pure silicone. There aren’t any weird chemical additives that are going to irritate the walls of the vagina or cause any sort of imbalances.
DISCREETNESS — Spunk Silicone is both odorless and tasteless. It’s also totally transparent, so it won’t stain your sheets or your clothes. Unlike some lubes that leave you uncomfortably sticky until the next time you shower, Spunk Silicone makes for easy cleanup without gross residue.
EFFECTIVENESS — A little bit of Spunk goes a long way and lasts a long time.

PRICE — Unfortunately – like most great lube – Spunk is pretty expensive. The 2 oz. sample bottle that I used costs around $13. That being said, the price is competitive and a little bit of Spunk goes a long way, So, you can make 2 oz. last for a long time. Also, Spunk offers an 8 oz. bottle for $25, which brings the price per ounce from $6.48 to $3.13. If you can afford it, it’s definitely a worthwhile investment but it’s still pricey.
Other Stuff
COMPATIBILITY — The only other issue that I had with this product is that my girlfriend and I couldn’t use it for our silicone toys. Obviously, that’s not a defect of the product; it’s just a fact of chemistry. For pretty much all other applications, it was the perfect lubricant. If you have glass, plastic or metal toys, Spunk Silicone is a great companion.
Bottom line
For masturbation, it made me want to cry, in a good way. Where was this shit when I was 12, raiding my bathroom for anything I could possibly wank with? For sex with my girlfriend, it was perfect. It worked equally well for massages during foreplay and as an extra lubricant during sex.
If there is a god, then Spunk is proof that she loves us and wants each and every one of us to have toe-curlingly orgasmic sex. It’s the most effective and convenient lubricant I’ve ever used. It’s great for masturbation and for sex, both vaginal and anal. As with most good lube, it’s a bit pricey, but it’s very effective even in small amounts. So, if you’ve got the money to throw down for it, then what the hell are you waiting for?

After reviewing a series of lube that was just this side of meh, we finally came across a winner in Liquid Silk. Unfortunately for our champion, Spunk Pink Hybrid lube has just come and knocked it off its pedestal. Not only does it manage to look and feel more like actual spunk, it’s the first water-based lube I’ve ever tried that actually outlasts my play.

Spunk Original Hybrid Lube has some big shoes to fill after Spunk Pink Hybrid made such a great impression. Luckily, Spunk Original takes it all in stride. Although, it’s not without its flaws.
