Real life experience: :
Anything else people should know about you?: For the past 13 years, the majority of my training and work experience has been providing mental health services to people who are homeless, LGBTQ young persons who are homeless, transgender men and women, lesbian, gay and bisexual men and women, sex workers and to folks who are actively using substances; specifically crystal meth, crack, heroin and alcohol are the substances I have worked with the most.
I am a harm reductionist and believe in open relationships/polyamory as alternative relationship options. For those who are not familiar with harm reduction, essentially it is a philosophy that aims at reducing the negative effects of any behavior, specifically drug use. However this can be applied to any behavior that may be causing difficulties in one's life. For some it means learning how to manage their use or behavior and for others it may mean abstinence from a specific drug. Whatever path is chosen, it is up to that individual to decide what is best for them.
