How aphrodisiacs work and what you need to know

Aphrodisiacs.png

An aphrodisiac is anything that increases sexual desire or arousal.

Generally, when people talk about aphrodisiacs they are talking about food. But, it could be anything from the smell of leather to the sight of the color red.

Some foods that are commonly considered to be an aphrodisiac are chocolate, honey, strawberries, raspberries, bananas, asparagus, oysters, champagne, red wine, figs, & cinnamon. However, none of those have any chemical properties that are known to increase sexual desire. But, they do contain lots of good vitamins, minerals, acids, and fats that will make you healthier overall.

According to scientific research, there is no such thing as a magical food that causes or increases sexual desire. What researchers have found is that people were experiencing a placebo effect after coming to believe in the powers of the foods.

This may be hard to believe as the idea of aphrodisiacs has been widely disseminated as fact. Take note that the researchers never said that food could not cause sexual desire/or arousal. This is because when we eat pleasurable food it stimulates the pleasure areas of the brain, the same ones activated when you have sex. From there, all it takes is a bit of classical conditioning to make that potatoes au gratin or coco van be your latest turn on.

For me beef roast tends to get the heart pumping. I really like the taste of beef, so I connect it with pleasure and that makes me want to have sex.

If there is some food that turns you on, then eat it and be merry. Don’t worry about trying to find foods that will make you a sex god, they don’t exist. Even if there is one thing that works for you, it is unlikely to work for other people. Therefore, you’d be trying to find a solution for 6+ billion people. Trust me, it's hard enough trying to satisfy everyone in an orgy or gangbang situation-don't add the pressure of trying to feed them too.
